Central Quad | Prism Ceiling

The Collective were asked to design a ceiling solution for the double-height atrium and lobby area in the striking new Central Quad building at the Technology University in Dublin.
The 35,000 sqm. building, designed by architects Fielden Clegg Bradley, is a contemporary and dynamic interpretation of the classic university quadrangle split into two L-shaped form blocks. Formed around the landscaped courtyard, the campus building is home to 6500 students and 400 staff. Central Quad brings together cross-disciplinary groups to promote new synergies and research projects.
The lightweight 3D suspended product ‘Prism’ was selected as the acoustic ceiling solution. Designed by The Collective Agency with Jones & Partners, Prism can be suspended independently or clustered together in groups to create the illusion of a suspended ceiling.
